School Performance

MONITORING PROGRESS for 2018-2019

Our students’ progress is monitored very closely so that we can locate individual needs and enhance pupils' learning abilities.

During the first month of attendance, students sit through a diagnostic test in each lesson and this will provide essential information on their starting point. If the lesson starts later in the semester then diagnostic test and 1st progress tests During the school year, we utilize several ways to monitor progress, such as oral or written examinations, in order to achieve a better adjustment of the lesson to individual needs. Our first progress evaluation is being completed by end of November and the first report, which is given to parents, is completed by mid-February. The second progress evaluation is completed by end of May. Final exams follow and the second and final report is given to parents by the end of June. Our grading system ranges from 1 to 20.

GRADUATES 2018

Many of the students graduating from the Greek Secondary School of London continue their education at British Universities and Colleges. Our students also have the option to sit the Greek National Exams which allows them to have access to the Universities in Greece.

Our school offers preparation for the A-level exams, complemented by UCAS training sessions and workshops, during which students receive advice on how to complete their university application form and on writing their personal statements.

Our graduates move on to different pathways and we wish them all good luck! Most of them aspire and succeed to study in Higher Education. In 2017-2018, 61% of our graduates got accepted in Universities in the UK (11 out of 18). Other prefer to work right away and 33% of our graduates (6 out of 18) are now employed, either in the UK or in Greece.
